Leading the Way in Intestinal Diseases: IMKASID 2025 Presidential Plenary Session
We invite you to the KASID Presidential Plenary Session at IMKASID 2025, where leading experts will converge to share pivotal advances in the study and treatment of lower gastrointestinal diseases, with a focus on colorectal cancer and inflammatory bowel disease (IBD).
Prof. Tae Il Kim from Yonsei University will present on "Targeting Cancer Stem Cells for Prevention and Treatment of Colorectal Neoplasia: Promises and Challenges," exploring the promise and complexities of targeting cancer stem cells for colorectal neoplasia management. Following this, Prof. Takanori Kanai from Keio University will discuss "Exploring Mucosal Immune Network in IBD: Translating Science to the Clinic," highlighting the bridge between scientific discoveries in the mucosal immune network and clinical applications. Lastly, Prof. Fernando Magro from Porto University will address "Disease Clearance in IBD: How Far Can We Go?" examining the potential for sustained remission and the evolving goals in IBD management.
